Yes, I Love What I do! No, Really!

In today’s blog, I want to dive into why I truly love what I do. Whenever I express how much happiness this career has brought me, I’m often met with genuine surprise, as if my honest answer would be anything less. Don’t get me wrong, I know there are people out there who don’t enjoy what they do for a living. This isn’t to say that my work is for everyone, or that everyone who does what I do feels the same. This is simply my personal experience and perspective.

Throughout my life, I’ve gone to school many times for different degrees, certifications, continuing education, or simply for the joy of learning. I’ve changed careers more times than I can count. I often blame my astrological sign for my tendency to get bored quickly. It’s not uncommon for me to earn a degree, work in that field for a year, and then feel ready to explore something entirely new. I’ve started businesses and ended them just as quickly when something more exciting came along. Such is the Sagittarius way, I suppose.

When I began this work, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. My past experiences in adult entertainment, strip clubs, and sugaring gave me what I thought was a good idea of what I was getting into. What I didn’t expect was to fall in love with my work and with the people I spend time with. I didn’t expect the high caliber of individuals I’d meet or the depth of connection I’d share with them. I became fascinated by what makes two people connect, and how to bring someone peace in their most vulnerable moments. I suppose you could say I became a little obsessed with creating happiness, making life easier, or simply giving someone a few moments of calm. I love being there for someone. I often leave a date feeling better than when I arrived. There’s a lightness and positivity that comes when good chemistry forms and the more times I see someone, the deeper that chemistry grows.

I’ve had many jobs in my life, everything from wedding planner to veterinary assistant. I’ve worked in the music industry, sales, marketing, and event coordination. I’ve loved nearly everything I’ve done, but this is the first time I’ve ever truly felt called to a career. It’s so much more than a job to me. The people I see, I care for deeply.

I’m often asked what I’ll do when I retire, and honestly, I can’t even imagine that yet. I’m sure the day will come far in the future, but for now, I can say with full confidence: I am completely in love with what I do. When I spend time with someone, my entire goal is for them to feel how much I enjoy being in their presence. I hope you can sense the love, care, and intention I bring to each connection, and to the moments we create together.

“Any love that I have shown you, is yours to keep.”
